Single Service - Cremation
It is common for some people to wish to be cremated at the time of passing. Majority of cemeteries in Melbourne have a Crematorium on the premises along with Chapel facilities for viewing or services prior to the cremation. It is up to the family to have a Chapel service at the cemetery or in the Chapel at our Funeral Home followed by a hearse drive away to the Crematorium. A celebrant or a priest can be present to say a few words or prayers about the loved one before they are farewelled.

Some cemeteries have functions rooms to accomodate for light refreshments afterwards. After the service the coffin is delivered to the crematorium where it will be cremated later that day. The ashes can be collected by a family member or by the funeral director 3-4 days following the cremation and it is up to the family’s digression what they do with the remains; whether they kept the ashes in an urn, spread them at location or have them interned at a cemetery.
